Our Men’s Health Workshop

Movember may be over for yet another year, but we think it deserves to be highlighted all year round.

To honour the Movember initiative, we hosted our very own Men’s Better Heath Workshop to help raise awareness of the importance of looking after your health.

Run in partnership with In Bloom Project, this session was hosted by Dylan Roos, son of AFL coach and legend Paul Roos. Dylan specialises in men’s health and wellness, is a Health Coach and NLP Master Practitioner and is also the founder of the Roos Men’s Wellness & Leadership Club, a club which aims to create a community for like-minded men to learn about health and wellness tools to live a well-balanced life.

In this session, Dylan covered all sorts of men’s health-related issues, from physical health and diseases through to mental and emotional health. He gave us lots of easy easy-to-action tools and exercises that we can do in our own time to help us with our own mental health, as well as help others around us.

Although there were some pretty serious topics covered in this session, Dylan managed to talk about them in an inclusive and supportive way, making everyone feel comfortable and encouraging plenty of audience participation.

It was wonderful to see so many people sharing their own thoughts and experiences and we hope our attendees got some valuable information and action points out of it.
