Nexus Christmas Carnival 2022

We like to party, and apparently, so do you! That’s why we throw our annual Nexus Christmas party – to show our community how much we appreciate you.

If you couldn’t make it to our party, you can catch up on all the highlights and fun stuff right here!

Held on Thursday 8 December, our lunchtime celebration consisted of fun games to play (courtesy of our friends at Adam’s Games & Amusements), sweet carnival treats to eat with hundreds of free serves of popcorn and fairy floss on offer, and great music to boogie too (courtesy of the cutest musical duo, Madeliene and Richard from Madz Got Rich Band).

The crazy Melbourne weather was true to form, with sun, wind, drizzle, and bucketing rain on the day. It made for ‘interesting’ times, haha.

Despite the unpredictable weather, we still managed to attract over 200 people throughout the day – thanks for all the love, everybody!

With so much free entertainment on offer and so many cool things to try out, we think you’d all agree it was a wonderful way to spend a lunch break.

We had mini golf, giant Jenga, giant Connect Four, a 4.5-metre snooker soccer table to honour Nexus’ World Cup FIFA fever, and of course, it’s not a carnival without carnival games. We had a laughing clown, a Froggie ‘Whack-a-Mole’ game and crazy clown mirrors to boot.

The most popular games on the day were definitely the laughing clown and soccer snooker, which were on high rotation.

Food glorious food
With one of our all-time favourite food trucks, Chef Calamari serving up its delicious seafood delights, we were truly spoilt for choice with popcorn prawns, salt and pepper calamari, fish and chips, and softshell crab burgers all on the menu –yummo! As usual, the food proved to be a huge hit with our community, with queues as far as the eye could see.

Thank you to everyone who braved the crazy Melbourne weather and attended our 2022 Nexus Christmas Carnival
